It was great to chat with some of you this morning. We began by looking at a wooden ornament which had been painted for a garden and discussed whether it looked like coral or half a tree. We chatted about colours and how we might arrange a series of these pieces of coral, in varying shades of blue to create perspective and a sense of our eyes being led from a deep greyish blue, upwards in paler shades to the horizon.
The mystery of the Garden
We all see things from our experiences of life and it is in living for today and planning for the future that we may see hope on our horizon.
Plants were discussed, including one called honesty which after several years produces, white, pod like leaves which are akin to paper to the touch and almost transparent. Honesty as a characteristic shows our vulnerabilities and allows us to live and begin to portray ourselves as we truly are before God. The Knit Cam offered us the unravelling spiral of the Fern.
Tapestry
This led us on to Sheena Norquay and her tapestry. She was a teacher in Inverness and now leads workshops all over the country. https://auribuzz.com/2021/01/22/the-artistry-of-sheena-norquay-the-cottage-garden/

Easter
We saw one of the Easter crosses that had been designed by scratching black paint off of cardboard to reveal an image of hope.
So having looked at perspective, images of hope and honesty, we spent an hour sharing with each other and showing how we use our creative gifts to encourage and walk alongside each other.
Our prayers are with you all, including those who couldn’t be with us this morning in person.
I found the dialogue interesting
