You know the familiar story, you know the ending as soon as the story teller starts. Perhaps we might sometimes pause a while and reflect on certain key words. They were there for a purpose in the story. The author of Luke’s Gospel was always one for a parable. Laying down a story along life itself – parallel so parable – and asking the listener to hear it again for themselves.
Is it about the man or the oppressors of the time, the Romans?
