I’m sure that statistically the chance of rain falling on a Bank Holiday isn’t any higher than any other day – it just feels like it sometimes. We may not have a backup when the dark clouds appear. So we wanted to share Hope today. So here’s our letters of Hope, weaved and wrapped in wool.
Haircuts – it has been great to cut the inches off the hair, feeling a weight-loss!
Openings – for the local businesses who have struggled over this past year but still have hope, hope that their customers will return, and that they will still have a living.
Pandemic vaccinations – for many have now had their second jag (or jab if you don’t live in Scotland). That joy when you have increased protection from this Virus, nearing the day when we may all meet up.
Entanglement – what? Our lives are intrinsically entangled together. Are our lives all within 6 connections or six degrees of freedom? What delight we may find as we return to meeting up with people, as well as within the virtual capabilities of Zoom or Facebook.
We met this morning, some people were off visiting families (under a brolly), but it was still good to chat, share, have a blether. It might be telling in that despite the freedoms of moving around in Level 3, soon Level 2, some still enjoy that opportunity to meet up virtually.
Good news!
More good news is that Maslow’s of Govan are delighted to receive all of our knitted jackets, booties, teddy bears etc. We are also working with SFAR to continue the provision and support of refugees in Glasgow.
