At Kava, every first Sunday of every month, we start to look at a new community where we can discuss openly ‘what does faith look like in 2019?’. We want to create a safe(r) space, which isn’t so structured but which could be felt to be ‘messy’; where people can be free to express their opinion and be heard; where we welcome everyone including their feelings and/or ideas, not just accept or tolerate; where inclusivity is key; where there is discussion enabling mutual respect but also offers opportunities for praxis or activism; and where we do not seek to convert rather than to engage.
