Considering Luke 10 and the sending out of the 70 or 72 disciples. I wonder if they were all men or perhaps couples?
How are you feeling? If you are members of the church today, you might answer “tired, struggling or challenged” even, given the current situation. The 70 or 72 disciples, referring to the number of nations in the world back then, were sent out in pairs. Not mega size but small was seen to be cool. They went out to be with all, out of their comfortable buildings.
They were told to eat what was set before them – defying their cleanliness laws then ; to be with all people, not limited to particular labels.
They would go out without bags or sandals – perhaps flip-flops or crocs? – not to say specific words but to live their lives being part of God’s kingdom. That’s what was required. Not much has changed – has it?
